Thinglink Poetry

WALT: Write a cinquin poem. Today we had to collect a leaf and use the leaf to create a picture. Then we had to write a poem about what we turned the leaf into. Hover over my bullet point to read my poem.

Soldier-Moment in Time

WALT: Use adjectives (describing words) to make our writing interesting to the reader.
We pretended we were a soldier in the war, using our senses to describe what it was like.

I saw...ginormous tanks blowing by rocket launchers and bombs
I heard...people dying by a blast from soldiers firing bullets
I felt...blood dripping down on my back sliding down on the stony dirt ground
I wondered...if I could survive living in the war

Summer Poem

Remember that time
you saw people diving under the big as waves
people running across the burning hot sand like their pants are on fire
and lots of people's  ice cream mating down the happy chins.
That was summer.

Remember that time
you felt the hot sand burning down on your red face
or slimy seaweed touching your feet
and the freezing cold bucket of water.
That was summer.

Remember that time
you heard like the cool fun songs on the radio
waves crashing on the rocks making bigger waves
and noises from people's decks having parties at the beach.
That was summer.

Remember that time
you smelt nice fresh juice
sheep poo in the paddocks
or the petrol from the gas station.
That was summer.

Remember that time
you tasted nice creamy chocolate cake
lollies from the shops
or tasty juice.
That was summer.

Cinquin Poem

Cave
Rocks falling
Growing, moving, dripping
Deep down under ground
Hole

A Moment in Time-Tabloids

I saw lots of nice parents cheering us on.

I heard lots of birds whistling.

I felt  happy because I had lots of fun racing my friends in a sack.

I wondered if I got three in a row on the blue dot and the red dot and the yellow dot.
